Our green alley is designed to lessen runoff, reduce stress on the sewer system, and filter pollutants and silt reducing their presence in the bay.
Project Goals
- Create an inviting space between BAC buildings
- Reduce non-point source pollution in the Charles River
- Increase storm water flow into the Back Bay water table
- Reduce flow to the Boston storm sewers
